– Partnership enables financial institutions to provide fast and secure mobile deposits –
Citizens 1st National Bank (CFNB) announced that it has launched mobile remote deposit capture through Malauzai Software, a provider of mobile and Internet banking products for community financial institutions, leveraging Malauzai’s partnership with Ensenta, a software developer creating innovative Cloud-based imaging and self-service technologies for the financial industry.
The Storm Lake, Iowa-based bank has updated its Malauzai Consumer SmartApp, now integrated with Ensenta’s Mobile Remote Deposit Capture (mRDC), to facilitate mobile deposits and mobile bill pay through PicturePay™, developed in conjunction with Allied Payment Network.
“In exploring mobile RDC options, Malauzai’s partnership with Ensenta allowed us to deliver a standalone application, separate from online banking, but with a consistent user experience,” said Dan Richardson, senior vice president of Operations at CFNB. “By making these highly-demanded, self-service alternatives available, we can give customers the convenience they expect while freeing employees to manage other tasks. With goals to continually introduce new technology and services every few months, we feel confident that through the partnership between Malauzai and Ensenta, we will be offered the latest, cutting edge technology on a regular basis.”
In addition to the new mobile RDC functionality provided through its relationship with Ensenta, Malauzai’s Consumer SmartApp allows CFNB customers to view account balances on a mobile device in real-time. Ensenta’s mRDC is integrated with a patented Agile Risk Management platform to mitigate risk in real time across all points of capture and payment. Additionally, the technology logs all session data, which enables bank staff to provide real-time assistance to customers with failed images.
“CFNB is an extremely progressive institution with impressive technology objectives,” said Robb Gaynor, Malauzai’s chief product officer. “Forging a partnership with Ensenta enables us to help institutions like CFNB deploy new solutions, including mobile RDC, through our SmartApp.”
“Consumers are looking for ways to make deposits with the utmost ease and convenience, and by integrating our mRDC with Malauzai’s SmartApp, we are jointly bringing this opportunity to a greater number of financial institutions,” said Jim Ballagh, vice president of Business Development for Ensenta. “Just as important as high image quality is risk management; our mRDC evaluates each deposit in real-time across 150+ risk factors to ensure CFNB that risks have been mitigated.”
