When the Apple Watch launches on April 24, Happy State Bank in Texas will be one of only a few U.S.-based financial institutions with an app ready for the watch. Malauzai Software will have more than five of its community banks and credit union clients – with many more scheduled – offering a wearable mobile banking app (SmartwearApp) to account holders.
Version one features will include the ability for end-users to check balances, view transaction history for all available accounts and access a branch locator. It will also offer advertisement /educational space for the institution. The app provides multi-language capability to support English and Spanish-speaking users.
Robb Gaynor, Chief Product Officer and Danny Piangerelli, CTO of Malauzai Software are available to discuss:
- How community banks and credit unions are able to beat their larger competitors to the face of the Apple Watch;
- Benefits to community FIs of offering mobile banking via the Apple Watch;
- What features will be available to early Apple Watch adopters; and
- What’s coming in future releases of the wearables app
In addition, Malauzai will be sharing their experiences, opinions and learnings on their blog so be sure to follow along for the inside scoop. Please feel free to comment on posts or ask questions here on Monkey Chatter. Also, listen for their chirps on Twitter via @MalauzaiMonkeys.
